Is there anyone here that have tryed to overclock one of this cpu´s ?
I would like to compare my results with someone  :)

I am currently trying to OC a little and this is the results right now.
COMP SPEC.
XP2500+ Barton
1024MB PC2700 TWINMOS DDR
MSI K7N2-DELTA-ILSR nFORCE2 mobo
MSI GF4 Ti4200 TD8X 128MB
I use MSI CLOCK toOC the GF4
And i use the BIOS to OC mem and cpu and WCPUID to check mhz

Stock speeds
GPU:250
MEM:513
CPU:1837.50
DDR:334.09

Current speeds
GPU:300
MEM:594
CPU:2067.18 (XP3200+ Barton)
DDR:375.85

Is this good for the first OC ? i will raise the speed more later

just set it to 200x11.  These 2500+'s are notorious for booting straight up at that speed (the true 3200+ speed.

just make sure your ram can take it.

When I get my TwinMos 3200 in the next few days I'll post my max FSB, but until then I'm keeping it at thios speed with really tight timings on my corsair ram (2-2-2-4)

3dmark 2001:14373 (800x600x32)

3Dmarks 2001 refuse to complete benchmark att 200mhz fsb, but @ 199mhz it went rock solid  :)  Thanx for the tip, now i just have to buy a better cooler, i am running a SPIRE Whisperrock IV right now with a 2280rpm fan and the cpu peaks @ 44 degres  :cry:

My friend and I built his computer with a 2500+ Barton.  It runs perfectly at 200x11 with the STOCK cooling.  It just doesnt like multiplier changes.

hey guys
if i get a a7n8x deluxe with the 2500+ barton would i achieve 2.3 or more ghz but i know 2.1 and 2.2 ghz is good.  I want lots of power :D  and plus i like this board but im not sure if it is a good oc'er or not

I have one SPIRE Whisperrock IV(18$ cheapo) 2 front intake 8cm crystal led fans and the fan in the PSU, the room temp here right now in the summer is 24-27 degres  :(  i have the freeking sun straight in tha back of me

spend some money and get a good hsf :) slk 800u very good and fits on alota boards..only around $30(USD) thats not including the fan ofcourse :)

Thanx for the tip  :)  this is a bit funny, i didn´t planned to OC my comp at all thats why i boght the silent cheapo cooler, but now i realize that i HAVE to take it to the limit  :lol:
