I am looking into both suggestions but I am leaning towards the coolermaster I just think it looks cool with those pipes.
thanks for the suggestions I will let you know when the decision is made
 :)

thats why i went for mine tbh, to start i was p115ed right off with it, it was hotter than my stock cooler, temps went up 10C then i fitted a bigger fan,but it made very little difference. that was on my 1600+palamino.

when i pulled it off of the 1600+ i noticed the base was badly scratched, so i lapped it in with 800grit wet&dry, which gave a better than standard finish. now when fitted to the 2100+TBred i cant get it past 37c. i'm using the silicone paste which came with the cooler, will try some silver stuff soon.

I was thinking about the Volcano 9 but heard something about it being too heavy

I have the Volcano 9 on my XP 2100+ and it is working just fine.  Has provided me with EXCELLENT cooling.  Running 112 degrees F loaded, 104 degrees idle.  w00t!  :tool:

i know i'm late, but the SK7 gets my vote, 10 dolla cheaper than slk800, and with a low (34 cfm) cfm fan, i stay at around 27-30 deg. celcius

volcano 7+ works well for me.  Just make sure your case is moving air out from around the cpu.  I use a dual fan setup in the back to pull as much heat from around the cpu as I can.

Well, what about a cooler for an AMD XP 2100+, but on an Asus A7M266-D.
I lack the space to fit any huge coolers, so I need a different solution than that.
My dual AMD's only get to about 44 degrees on idle (25cfm HSF)
And go up to about 50degrees under use..
I need something else..
