Put On Your Wings!
When our great, great grandparents were alive, they could only dream of soaring like an eagle. Now the EAA Young Eagles Program wants to offer you the chance of a lifetime--to turn your dreams into reality.

EAA wants to offer everyone between the ages of ages 8 and 17 an opportunity to fly in a private airplane with a qualified pilot. It's safe. It's fun. It's free. And it's fantastic!

Becoming an EAA Young Eagle is as easy as one-two-three!

Step One:
Contact the Young Eagles office at 1-877-806-8902.

Step Two:
We'll tell you where to find a pilot near you!

Step Three:
Take off!!! You and your personal pilot will zoom through the skies!

As long as you're between the ages of 8 and 17, you can be an EAA Young Eagle just like that! Not only will you fly for free, you'll also receive an official Young Eagle certificate AND your name will be entered in the World's Largest Logbook! So, what are you waiting for?

It's hot if you're in WI, cuz that's where they're located. Then again, they could have other locations... I'm not sure.

Here's their addy:

Experimental Aircraft Association
EAA Aviation Center
3000 Poberezny Road
Oshkosh, WI 54902

Maybe you could take your kids on a road trip to Wisconsin to see... erm, the cows? :D

I think this is available nationwide (Nation = USA, of course)... Check out the underlined "step 2" above...

If I were still 17, I'd probably give it a try.

I think it's only in the USA. If you try calling that toll-free #, you can find out if they have pilots in your area who are under the "Young Eagles" program.

i'm a pilot so i deal with the EAA guys pretty often.  the free flight is available in most areas.  go to your local FBO (airport) and ask them about the EAA in the area.  go to a smaller airport not memphis international or something.  i don't know of any organizations similiar in Canada though.  oh yeah, if you want to learn to fly don't fly like the EAA guys, many of their guys nearly kill lots of other pilots with their ignorance and few understand the rules of safe flight.
