Asus's new board
« on: December 25, 2001, 06:43:00 PM »

Ok ive decided to spend alot of money, what are your guy's opinions on the:

Asus A7N266 Motherboard
- Utilizes NVidia nForce Chipset
- Supports all AMD Socket A Processors
- On-board GeForce 2 Graphics Adapter
- Max. 1.5GB PC2100 DDR SDRAM
- 1-4X AGP Pro / 6 PCI / 3 DDR Slots

Seems like a decent deal for good onboard video/sound.  Im under the impression that, that board has a Geforce 2 (nforce) chip. would that be better than my Geforce 2 64 mx400?

I read a review that said the on-board GF2 had VERY good results. Don't recall exactly but something about the way they built it on-board they were able to not burden the cpu with most the common graphics stuff. Check out PC World mag for this or last month. Was a 1-2 pager. After work Today I'll see if I still have it around.
