Budget Skt A HSF
« on: January 22, 2003, 09:04:24 PM »

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what's a good HSF for an AMD Athlon XP 2100 that's under $20? I don't plan to overclock at all, so I don't need anything fancy. I'd also like it to be preferably quiet. Any ideas? :-?

Id say stock or V9 with the temp control.  I dont trust the V7 with its thermal control on the outside.

tt volcano 9 (dunno price, but if its the one without "coolmod" it will be under 20 probably)

just set it on low, and make sure your temps are good :D

ThermalRight SK6+.  I've got a Duron 1.2 GHz running at 36 C with that 'sink.
