another thing you could use is an actual neon. i have one i got at o'reilly autoparts that's like 4 inchs long. i use it for lighting behind my front bezel. should fit in a drive bay just fine, and it's bright enough to light that up real well.

You could always get light Gels, we used to use them in Stagecraft class to change stage light colors, i know they have difusing Gels too. Look into it.

Nah I bought 3 LEDs, and im pretty sure thats all im gonna need. I went to an electrical specialty shop and told them what i needed and said "No, for this you want those lites over THERE" From 30 feet away they looked like the size of half a light bulb, but when i got up there they were itsy bitsy LEDs. Cost me 7 bucks a piece, but im amped!
Anyway Im gonn run these through my PCMODS Baybus, I have the resistors, im just not sure how to hook it up. Can someone tell me how to hook it up? what wire do I need, etc? Thanks guys.
Oh yeah got a Dremel tool, had a solder iron and engraver in one. stokage.

Dude... theyre SCHWEEET. He told me his friend uses em in his remote control plane, and that he can easily see them at its maximum height, during the day. Now just to wire them

IM rethinking this whole thing. LOL im using my multipurpose dremel versatip tool to do the carving, but its awfully difficult to cut throughy those doors with just an engraving tools. makes kind of a mess, after i sand it hopefully itll look better. As for the lites, hell i dont have the slightest clue about how to do that. I wont worry about it until i have the baybus, which i should be getting wednesday in the mail
Update. even tho exacto knife thin, baydrives are not meant to be cut with a dremel versatip tool. The only thing its good for is using carving the outline of the letters into the door. As far as where to start from here, i have no idea, but I do need to start over. (Grumble)

anyone have a wood burning tool? Couldn't you just burn through the drive bay and etch something with it? It's going to smell real bad, but I think that would cut through it easier than dremelin' it.
