You guyz, I made 1 piece of the tutorial:P you can find it on http://www.cybergeak.tmfweb.nl/plex.htmThe only thing what still needs to be done is to locate some kind of a spring or those little bands that are locate under those track rc cars. by placing the pins here makes it unpossible to get the + on tha - of the led and visa versa. See for ya self

ahh, i see what you are doing, remember though that the led has to have both at the same time for long enough for it to light. i don't think 1/50th a sec will be long enough for the led to even light. you never know though.

You got a point there. hmm... some round strips where the contacts whil glide over or something might do the trick.

OK... in order to do this mod, I can assume it was done on an 80mm fan right? But can it be done on a 120mm fan as long as its' RPM is above 3000? Also, does it need to be dual ball bearing, or can it be singular (is there such a thing, im a n00b).
Has anyone seen any other fans that this would work on? (Preferably 120mm)
Once finished, how is it operated? I imagine from a baybus, though I know very little about those too. maybe best to buy one?
Thanks guys, only a week on the forums and im already hooked.

the size of the fan doesnt matter , except maybe smaller than 60mm because you have to solder. If you wired it like the nairn site, i dont think rpm matters
