ok i'm building a new computer soon, and am having dificulty deciding what video card to buy, i'deally i'd like to spend no more than £300

Untill today i had only really considered this card http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=499239
but looking at the prices more recently it has got me thinking if one of the cheaper 8800GTX cards would be worth the extra 100 quid or so, maybe somthing like this one http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=499238.

Both my choices are ASUS so far, the only reasons are both the TFT monitor and the mobo are going to be made by asus, so i figure that it would make sense to match the vid card with the same brand.
also i've been an ati fan until my 9700pro died taking the mobo, cpu and memory with it, so i've decided to give nvidia a try, i'm not really sure what brand has the market.

So what you think guys? am i going to see a big benefit fo the extra money

http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/05/17/performance_value_for_dx10/

This article has a performance/value analysis.  It says to get a 8800GTS OC, so I'll go with it and say get that.

There are no any "low end 8800GTX" in the World Smile All 8800GTX based on referenced nVidia board design, have 768Mb DDR3 and 384 bit memory bus. So 8800GTX is your choice.
