Review: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

Quote
In the included instructions it says that the surface was milled down specifically to work with their thermal grease for the best performance. Well, I don't know if that's true, but I'm always willing to give things a try, instead of cleaning the goop off the heatsink, I installed it as is. Don't worry though, I still plan to remove it and test again with the benchmark AS5.

Here's a pretty fair sale price on the Mine3...
http://www.jab-tech.com/Scythe-MINE-3-Heatpipe-CPU-cooler-pr-3340.html

I got my arctic cooler on sale at New Egg for $20 shipped.   It's all the cooler I will ever need for this CPU.   Plus, with shipping, the Mine is nearly twice the price of the Arctic Cooler.   I can't justify spending that for a small difference in operating temperature.   I wouldn't mind seeing results with overclocking.

Nice review.

You want the temps on both the Mine & the Artic Cooling Over clocked??

As I finish up a few more reviews that I need to get done. I will go back and get the temps with the processor OC'ed ~ 2.7G (2.13 stock) and set the base line for these as I retest.
