Getting everyone here caught up with what has been said about this project on other forums..

http://www.malatorymods.com/spider_v2_1.htmCCB has been getting me help with some of the vector math that I am having trouble remimbering how to do (hey I havn't touched that stuff in years). Basic run down is that I have servos that are rated at 133/in of torque at the servo. I am lifting ~8 of alum streight out from the base of the servo. guess ament is that I am going to have 93oz/in or 72/oz/in of torque for lifting the body X6 (or 8 if I get all eight legs working). Computer with out the body wieghts close to 5lb so I am fine so far.
Head of the spider will hold at least 2 batteries and maybe a Bluetooth modem for controlling the legs.
body will hold the computer and any batteries that it needs to run off of when it trying to take over the world. (What it is made out of is still up in the air .. something light maybe Fiberglass (other options would be Plastic but weight is an issue, and Carbon fiber (still want to play with it more).
over all color will be black when I can use it. Silver /alum when I can't.
