Thanks for the review Gid - I was debating picking one of these up soon or not. Not sure how much trouble I will have with the installation, but I'm glad to have the photos to give me an idea before I actually get into it (plus I'm sure I couldnt do any worse than the idiot who reviewed this thing for ign.com... *knock on wood*).

Also a note about people complaining about colors beign washed out: the only people I've seen bitching about this are people who did not install the dimmer. Thus, they get full juice all the time. I could understand how that would end up with them having washed out colors...

i wouldn't exactly rely much on ign's reviews. i think they even forgot to put in the AR film. at least i said i messed it up and purposely left it out Big Grin

Yeah...ign does some very poor reviews. I think what the guy did was completely botch his AR film, but then leave it on. Something like that, maybe he smudged the screen or something. Some mistake that he should have given himself fault for but took points off the review instead. He also didn't install the dimmer and complained about washed out colors....

This is the advantage of consumer reviews compared to those who are also trying to get a sale.  I don't have a GBA, but I know, in a user/consumer point of view, the review helped a lot.  good job!

Don't know if anyone noticed or not, but the review (and gideontech as well) was linked to and given appropriate "props" on http://www.penny-arcade.com">Penny-Arcade today. I don't know about anyone else, but I really enjoy PA.

I noticed too.  I'm sure GT has gotten a noticeable increase in hits.  PA was the first online comic I encountered.
