I'm having problems with rebooting my machine when I shut down in windows 98se the screen will go blank and it will try and read my floppy anyone know why it maybe doing this? So I just hit the reset button again and it works with no problems.

that usualy is caused by some program... i have that some times...

Just get rid of your problem entirely. Back-up everything important and REFORMAT! You'll probably run quicker without all your old crap and years worth of downloads and game demos, all the stuff you've installed and uninstalled. THousands of .dll's.  I reformat about once a year, awfully refreshing. Kinda like colon cleansing I bet.

doug, i reformat all of my machines every 3 months. this is a windows os issue. ive had it happen on the fresh install and older installs. its just something that happens
