I prefer Trillian or mIRC.  Never had particularly good luck with web based IRC clients.

Alright now damnit...I cant connect to the IRC server anymore for whatever reason...connection just times out. Already asked bale about it, and he's clueless...Nothing has changed AFAIK, I can still get on other servers and whatnot. I'm using MIRC, but I've tried a web based client just to make sure it wasnt mirc being a punk. Any ideas?

PS. yes i'm using port 8888...
